Glamorous Trash:
Where we make treasure
out of pop culturE Garbage.

“I have been in love with Chelsea Devantez’s Glamorous Trash (FKA Celebrity Book Club) since day one. Chelsea invites her funny friends to go over a celebrity memoir, shining light onto the moments that mattered and giving context and the story of these women we think we know. Chelsea has provided a space to look at women who are often maligned or mocked with empathy and understanding. She looks at the books at a near-academic level and even gives insight into the ghostwriters of the books. This review for the show doesn’t make it sound very funny, but it is very, very funny.”

FOR three years WE HAVE...

discussed and recapped celebrity memoirs on this podcast. We have laughed about gossip, cried about trauma, and laugh-cried about our own personal obstacles, and one day it became clear that we needed a new name that would more accurately reflect the depth of the show and the thoughtful and hilarious community who surrounds it. And so, Celebrity Book Club has become Glamorous Trash!

New name. Same Soul. More stuff.

Glamorous Trash is all about going high and low at the same time— Glam and Trash.

On the Glamorous Trash podcast we recap and book club celebrity memoirs, deconstruct pop culture, and sometimes, we cry! If you've ever referenced Mariah Carey in therapy... then this is the podcast for you.

THE TEAM BEHIND GLAMOROUS TRASH

Executive Producer Jordan Moncada, Producer Kate Downey, Assistant Jerrin Padre, and Needy Quarantine Dog.

“Men who make the rules tend to dismiss memoir, because they’re just not as good at it as women are. Their capacity to be truthful is limited by the fact THat they’re the oneS with power. And it’s not useful if you’re the ones with power, to tell the truth about yourself.”
